Conducted by the Bureau of Learner Support Services - School Health Division (BLSS-SHD) of the Department of Education, the National Drug Education Program (NDEP) Webinar Series aim to provide information and education on NDEP amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This is also in line with strategic directions in the Basic Education - Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) of DepEd.

The participants to the webinars are the NDEP Coordinators, BKD Coordinators, teachers, health personnel, and other non-teaching personnel who are involved in substance use prevention.

Episode 3 of the NDEP Webinar Series was conducted on August 26, 2021, titled "Going the Distance: Online Delivery of Preventive Drug Education." BLSS-SHD invited Ms. Maria Cecilia V. Zamora, MAED, LPT, Assistant Professor, College of Education, University of the Philippines-Diliman, as the speaker for the third episode of the series.

In this time of pandemic, NDEP aims to ensure that the youth are creatively and effectively engaged with drug abuse prevention initiatives and the better way to reach them is through a medium that is of interest and relevant to them. The internet has already captured the attention of youth throughout the world. Thus, drug abuse prevention education will take advantage of its popularity and potential to reach the youth.
