Implementation of National Drug Education Program of DepEd field offices and schools

In accordance with DepEd Memorandum No. 200, s. 2016 titled "Strengthening the National Drug Education Program in Schools," the Department of Education, through the Bureau of Learner Support Services - School Health Division (BLSS-SHD) regularly gathers monthly accomplishment reports of field offices and schools regarding the implementation of programs, projects, and activities for NDEP.
In the 1st Quarter of 2022, there are a total of 403 NDEP-related activities conducted by School NDEP Coordinators and teachers. Highlighted NDEP activities include the following:
- Distribution and posting of IEC materials relative to the Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign;
- Conduct of symposia and webinars on anti-illegal drugs and their harmful effects;
- Integration of NDEP in health subjects or lessons;
- Video Presentations on Drug Abuse and Prevention;
- Installation and Beautification of NDEP Corner in schools;
- Slogan and Signage Making, including Poetry and Song Composition Events;
- Integration of Drug Awareness Campaign through wellness programs (i.e., work-out exercise, and Zumba);
- Formulation and dissemination of memoranda on “Tobacco Graphic Health Warning Assessment;” and
- Conduct of annual planning workshops for NDEP activities.
