DILG Region 5 successfully conducted the 2022 Regional Awarding Ceremony for Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards (LTIA) Regional Search and Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) Advocacy Cluster Video-Making Contest on October 27, 2022 at Pepperland Hotel Events Centre, Legazpi City. The Regional Awarding Ceremony recognizes the invaluable efforts and participation of Local Government Units (LGUs), private groups and individuals in sustaining peaceful, orderly, and safe communities through the efficient and effective implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay and anti-illegal drug programs.
The program covered the awarding of winners for the 2022 ICAD Video-Making Contest initiated by the Region 5 ICAD Advocacy Cluster to strengthen the government's anti-illegal drug advocacy campaign and to harness citizen participation. The video-making contest is envisioned to expand public awareness on the ill effects of illegal drugs, through the production of high quality audio-visual presentations.
In attendance were DILG Region 5 Regional Management Team headed by Regional Director, Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V and Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V; Provincial Directors and Division Chiefs; and heads and representatives from partner National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) such as DOJ 5, DSWD 5, PNP 5, Philippine Army, DOH Bicol, DOLE 5, NAPOLCOM 5, PSA 5, and Family Multipurpose Cooperative.
