DILG REGION IX RECOGNIZES 32 LGUs AS OUTSTANDING ADACS IN ZAMPEN

January 23, 2023 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government IX recognized thirty-two (32) best performing, effective and outstanding local anti-drug abuse councils at Manuel Resort, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, embodying the National Government's commitment to eradicate the country's illegal drug problem, it highlighted the vital participation of Local Government Units (LGUs) in safeguarding the citizenry from the harmful effects of dangerous drugs.
The 32 LGU awardees have successfully passed the 2021 ADAC Performance Audit and 2022 ADAC Awards conducted by the National ADAC Audit team composed of the DILG, DDB, PNP, PDEA and CSO Representatives based on the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-034 guidelines.
The Awarding ceremony was graced by DILG Undersecretary Marlo L. Iringan, CESO III as Guest of Honor.
Three (3) LGUs from the awardees namely Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur and Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay received cash incentives amounting to P100,000.00 for being the National passers conferred during the 2022 National ADAC Performance Awards last December 13, 2022 at The Manila Hotel, Metro Manila.
