This is also in line with strategic directions in the Basic Education - Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) of DepEd.

The participants to the webinars are the NDEP Coordinators, BKD Coordinators, teachers, health personnel, and other non-teaching personnel who are involved in substance use prevention.

Episode 2 of the NDEP Webinar Series was conducted on July 22, 2021, titled "Psychosocial Support for Students At Risk of Substance Use." BLSS-SHD invited Dr. Marie Grace A. Gomez, PhD, LPT, RGC, Professor, University of the Philippines-Diliman, as the speaker for the second episode of the series.

The episode tackled the importance of psychosocial support interventions as one of the protective factors that can reduce the risk of drug abuse to our learners by giving them a sense of security and developing their self-esteem and confidence. Psychosocial Support Intervention involves a range of care and support interventions. It includes care and support offered by caregivers, family members, teachers, friends, and it can also extend to the care and support from specialized psychological and social services.
