CAGAYAN DE ORO, Oct. 6 – To further intensify and strengthen the anti-illegal drug campaign in the region, the DILG 10 conducted an orientation on the Buhay Ingatan Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program for the Xavier University (XU) – Ateneo de Cagayan Development Communication (Devcom) students, the program’s new partners and advocates.
DILG 10 BIDA Program Regional Focal Person & LGOO Rezza Mae B. Tolinero expressed her gratitude to the University, through its Devcom department, for their proactive support. She further highlighted that the engagement of the youth, especially the partnership with the students for the production of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials will go a long way for the campaign.
Following LGOO Tolinero’s message, Devcom Department Chairperson Rechelle Ann T. Barraquias then gave her affirmation that such an initiative will help the students hone their technical skills.
“I hope that everyone will see the value of doing some networking in partnership with a national government agency (NGA),” she added.
The BIDA Program information materials to be produced will be the students’ final output and will be showcased during a culmination activity in a select secondary high school within the region.
