DILG 10 signs BIDA MOU with ICAD member agencies

CAGAYAN DE ORO, Nov. 20 - Strengthening the campaign against illegal drugs, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 10, signed the Buha’y Ingatan Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) Member Agencies.
 
In line with the BIDA Anniversary, the MOU is a milestone to the collaborative efforts of the ICAD Members. This established a formal framework fostering inter-agency cooperation, coordination, and synergy, and aimed to implement and comply with all policies, laws, and issuances pertaining to the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign, in an integrated and synchronized manner.
 
“As we embark on this collaborative endeavor, let us remember that our work goes beyond the signing of this MOU. It requires constant engagement, open communication, and a strong sense of shared responsibility. Together, we must stay committed to implement interventions, supporting rehabilitation and reintegration programs, and empower communities,” DILG 10 Regional Director Wilhelm M. Suyko stated in his message, conveyed by Assistant Regional Director Yvette Tolentino-Sunga.
 
Present at the MOU signing were the Region 10 ICAD Advocacy Cluster members: PDEA Regional Director Emerson Margate, DSWD Regional Director Ramel F, Jamen, and representatives of DepEd, DICT, DOH, DOLE, PCG, PIA, PRO, and TESDA. (DILG LGMED/ M. Hernandez)
